bigway 4 #5 February 6, 2005 Sight_burner, just me being nosey......but you are a 16 year old that has never jumped before but from your other posts you seem to have a big interest in canopies, I am just wondering what it is that interest you so much about the gear when you have never jumped? I imagine you are planning on jumping and just doing your homework for the future, that is all good but is this the reason? or is it something else? As i said i am just being nosey but would love to know if you are planning on jumping or continuing as a glider pilot. Nothing wrong with doing your homework .Karnage Krew Gear Store . sight_burner 0 #6 February 6, 2005 well thanks bigway. I have allways been interested in aviation since well when I was 10 11 years old but my dad said i was to young to learn how to fly. That didn't stop me from gluing myself to the internet and books. Then when I was talking to a pilot he told me that if I wanted to learn I would need to go from the ground up so he suggested soaring as a first me liky. so then I took up soaring which I love but whenever I went up for a flight I kinda felt that something was missing like mmmm I felt that some one was stealing somthing from me [dont ask]. So then I was at the soaring field one day and there is a D.Z by there I think napolian or somthing like that and I was looking up for gliders in the pattern so we could launch the sailplane and there i saw a canopy must of had a long spot and I said hold pattern theres a parachute???? there really what I said and he flew over head and did what I didn't know at the time a hook turn and came wright down. and at that instant i was really overcome by the aaaaaa operation of things. so I went online and found this place and couldn't get away from the dynamics of skydiving, wingsuit flying, base, ext ext. So I learnd as much as I can and still trying to learn as much as I can. But then when I kept reading and learning about canopy flight I.E the parachute and its pilot. then everything kinda came together. So now I have gear design ideas for base, wingsuit, harrness container, R.W, speed ext ext and I cant seem to stop. But back to the point lol canopy flight has been a real point in my life I mean the aspect of doing so much with so little and the stable speed capanle with Z.P and the VX 39 man that cut my cake. so that's why I asked you for info bigway on your program cause I thot that might be the best way to fall into things. And as a plus of all of this I have now scared the hell out of my mom thank you thank you please your to kind thank you. oh and if anybody has a clue on where and how I can get a patent or two or a rigger in M.I area p.m me F spell check Andrew I don't care about fame I just want people to know my name qote ( Andrew Cebuhar) the thread is dead
bigway 4 #7 February 6, 2005 Well good stuff, just might be worth the money to slow down a bit on the patent ideas. You know, why dont you write a letter to one of the rigging company's that make rigs and tell them all this, ask them if you can go out to their company for some work experience in your holidays or maybe even a tour of their factory's. Hold off on all your design talk though because it sounds a little dangerous at the moment and might put them off letting you see how things are done. Good Luck, and get some money togethor and go do a tandem. On our course, i am sorry to say if you are a new zealand citizen you can do our skydive package at the age of 16 but if you are an international student you must be 18. Take it easy. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
