Tonto 1 #1 February 3, 2005 Once again, a story of excellent customer service, well above and beyond what is expected. I have used several Pro-Dytters, and as MOP's in SA require them for freeflying, have often loaned one to former AFF students of mine starting to freefly. I KNOW they're all older than a year old. While at the Holiday boogie in Eloy, mine stopped working. I carried on using another, and when I returned to SA, contacted Mads at L & B. He asked that I send it in for a service - no charge. A week after sending it off, he mailed me back. They've decieded to send me a new one. No surprise why I keep buying their products - and I'm looking forward to the new range being released. Thank you LARSEN & BRUSGAARD. Thank you Mads. tIt's the year of the Pig.
masterrig 1 #2 February 3, 2005 Larsen and Brusgaard, can't be beat for customer service! I had a similar situation with a customer's Pro-Dytter. With-in 10-days, I was sent a new one, rather than the one I sent being fixed. Great folks! Chuck
lowie 0 #3 February 3, 2005 I wonder if that's why they are so expensive - they budget on giving everyone a replacement free of charge.LOL
pbla4024 0 #4 February 3, 2005 I got new Neptune for free when I destroyed my old one. Both competitors have excellent customer service. Fido
JPDECHENE 0 #5 February 3, 2005 I had my first Dytter back in '86 (the one with the external speaker). I met Mads in the following Hercules Boogie and asked him about the one with internal speaker. His answer was : "send me your old one" and a fe days later arrived a brand new Dytter. When the louder one arrived, I asked the cost for an upgrade. this was minimal and I received, guess what? : a new one that I am still using today. Later on I sent them back some units from jumpers with quotes ranging from "It doesn't beep anymore" to "I am sorry, but I steped on my Protrack and the display is damaged, could you ask them a quote to repare it ?" .Well, each and every time, I received, without a single question, free replacements units. I can't find any strong enough superlativeabout the friendlyness and the quality of their service. That's even more than perfect. And for developping new attractive products, they are pretty good too. Have you seen their new products ?
masterrig 1 #6 February 3, 2005 I have no idea how they do it but, Look at it this way... you break yours, you stand a real good chance at getting a new on in return, FREE! You can't get those odds in Vegas! Chuck
masterrig 1 #7 February 3, 2005 I don't mean to get-off the subject but, another company, I've found, with similar customer service is, Performance Variable! I returned an altimeter to them for repairs. Broken lense and just quit functioning. All they requested was the shipping be paid... NO charge for repairs! Not too shabby! diablopilot 2 #8 February 3, 2005 QuoteI wonder if that's why they are so expensive - they budget on giving everyone a replacement free of charge.LOL Prices just droped on them. One local dealer is now $119 for ProDytters, and $249 for ProTracks. That rocks! So does L&B! ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. SkymonkeyONE 4 #10 February 4, 2005 QuoteI got new Neptune for free when I destroyed my old one. Both competitors have excellent customer service. You can say that again!
 marcin 0 #11 March 23, 2006 Another pleasant surprise. Just got a replacement Pro Dytter and Pro Track when sent mine for minor repair. This is the best customer service I ever encountered in our outside the skydiving industry. (few years ago my 3 days old Pro Track was also replaced at no charge, when I broke the display)
 mx757 4 #12 March 23, 2006 I wanted to buy the new optima (which are out and for sale) but the optional LED & LCD cable are not avaliable yet. Mads sent a bunch of the protypes to Deaf record jumps for us to try. I loved them! I wrote mads saying I'd like to buy one as soon as the optional LED & LCD cable are avaliable, Mads sent me one of the protypes to use until them They do have outstanding customer service!!! Now, as soon as the optional LED & LCD cable are avaliable... I'm buying it! Thanks Mads Mike
 KidWicked 0 #13 March 26, 2006 QuoteThis is the best customer service I ever encountered in our outside the skydiving industry. Parasport Italia gave me a run around and told me I would have to deal with the dealer and then came along T from Unfeathered. She had absolutely nothing to do with the sale of the original unit, but told me to send it to her and she would ship it to Italy. She opened it, looked at it, and sent me a new one. T from Unfeathered also rocks... although I do have to recommend the Neptune... A dytter is pretty useless under a slow-speed malfunction - how do you know you're above your hard deck? Oh, and you can't jump in Oz without one, whether digital or analog.
 grue 1 #19 March 28, 2006 The AltiTrack is a visual alti, it just has protrack functionality built in. http://l-and-b.dk/altitrack.html I'd punch a baby for one! cavete terrae. Autumn's definitely arrived, but I'm still wandering around in T-shirts. Weekend weather was good - a little windy on Saturday afternoon, so some of the less experienced jumpers sat down, but the rest of the weekend was pretty much perfect. Winter is pretty much perfect for jumping in Sydney, though it doesn't get a little chilly by Aussie standards for first load. When do you come back? And where to?
 grue 1 #23 March 28, 2006 I'll probably be back towards the end of winter.. I figure I'd like one more summer of doing fuck all back here, plus I don't wanna come back until I have 200 jumps, so I don't have to buy an AAD (I want an AAD, but if it comes down to jumps or an AAD, I'm taking the jumps in my current financial state). Most likely going to melbourne, unless I find work + housing in Sydney sight unseen.cavete terrae.
