MikeJD 0 #4 October 12, 2011 Quotechange your password Yeah, I'd recommend this and doing a virus checker update and scan. A friend of mine had the same problem with her Hotmail account recently. She changed her password and the spam stopped.
gonzalesna 1 #5 October 12, 2011 maybe you should change your password and run a virus checker and scan. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
ryoder 1,590 #6 October 12, 2011 You sure it is really coming from your account, or is some spammer just spoofing your source address?"There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. mircan 0 #8 October 12, 2011 It`s virus or malware. I had that problem like that with my gmail account. It seemed that I got it when I clicked on an ordinary inconspicuous looking link in an e-mail that one of my work buddies sent me. Changed the password, updated anti-virus-malware software and all was back on track again.dudeist skydiver #
skydiver30960 0 #9 October 12, 2011 ...AND send out an email to all your contacts with a subject line that warns them you've probably been hacked; so hopefully they won't open any of the attachments or links the virus is sending them. guineapiggie101 0 #10 October 12, 2011 I had that happen to me before. Like what the other said, changing the password and updating the antivirus helps a lot. Although, I have a Mac now and still have gotten this stuff before. I though Macs are impervious to stuff like this.

Arvoitus 1 #12 October 12, 2011 Quotedon't know, I received like 50 "undeliverable" emails apparently from old contacts Its a form of spam. Some e-mail filters are so crappy that if an e-mail message is formatted as if its bouncing back because it couldn't be delivered, the filter will let it through. And so spammers obviously abuse this.Your rights end where my feelings begin.

regulator 0 #14 October 12, 2011 Well most likely unless you are using an exchange (work) or Pop3 forwarding account to say something similar to an outlook client then you would be using a HTML based mail application. Your computer and operating system become much less of a factor into the prognosis since you probably just got spoofed. Change your mail password to a C0mP1eX! password...if you use 'password' as your password I do not feel sorry for you.
iluvtofly 0 #15 October 12, 2011 Quotesince 2 days, my account is sending spam messages to all my contacts. Does anybody know how I can get that to stop ? I think the main cause is the fact that you're using Yahoo mail. Gmail is the way to go.

What cracks me up is the idiot spammers that send me spam with my own address as the sender.Yeah, like I'll waste my time on that."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
