sundevil777 102 #1 October 6, 2011 Already got my picture on the inside cover Gonna buy 5 copies for my mother Gonna see my smiling face On the inside cover of the Oct Parachutist... And it's a shot of just me! I'm not even wearing their sunglasses. Kinda goofy looking with my legs out. From the first early morning DC-9 load at the '06 WFFC, where they finally depressurized the plane at 8k, causing instant fog and the masks to deploy. Never figured on making it into the monthly rag by means of an ad, but red white and blue do look good together, that beautifully designed Infinity on my back must have caught their eye.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. normiss 897 #3 October 6, 2011 Good spot you had! Given the length of the jump run .... really lucky! Nice shot too - wondered who it was while knowing it had to be WFFC 06.

We were about near the midpoint of groups, but they still did a good spot for everyone on our load. Niki1 2 #5 October 6, 2011 Would it be tacky to ask, "Who's that behind those Foster Grants"? Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. JohnRich 4 #7 October 7, 2011 So, tell us the story of how your photo came to be used in their ad. Did you submit it to them? Did they run across it somewhere and thought it would work good for them? Did you get paid for it's use? Did you "know somebody"?
JohnMitchell 16 #8 October 7, 2011 Nice. I'm still waiting to get my pic in Parachutist with a rig on instead of a suit and tie.

I really don't know yet - I'm also curious about how it was chosen and have asked the photographer, he'll likely tell the story here before long (user name ChangoLanzao he found me in this thread). It just isn't seem like that remarkable of a pic, except for the beautiful rig and that it matches my jumpsuit and helmet . Years ago he asked me to sign a release, as he thought that he might be able to use the exit pics out of the jet. In exchange he gave me all the full resolution data.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I just noticed that ad a couple of weeks ago ;) It's one of the images I got during that jump when you and Hap followed me out the door. It's probably being used in other ads around the world - I rarely find out who uses my stock photos ;) Here's where they got it: CLICKY It was a great jump. We all just jumped out solo and it was a great surprise when you and Hap joined me for a 3-way. What a blast!
