wmw999 2,589 #4 January 16, 2012 Yep. Last night on the US sort-of-news program 60 Minutes, they had a profile of teenaged math/science prodigy Jake Barnett, who was diagnosed as autistic (though apparently far less severely) when very young. It makes the thought of all the kids who don't find their voice all the more heartbreaking. Not all parents find the key, and not all parents have the conditions to work at it. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence.
