Tempo Reserves

Hey,

I had a question about reserves. I bought used gear this past summer and have been jumping it ever since. My reserve is a Tempo 170 made in 2000. I understand that the Tempo is no longer manufactured.
Is the Tempo reserve still safe and reliable to have as my reserve?
