My grandmothers had Alzheimer's and Dementia, so I've been a little concerned about what my fate might be later in life. This study to me is great news! B|

And then there's DANCING!

(You have to open the tables to see the details of the results, but apparently dancing is very beneficial)

There are several approaches. The nun study for example provides some proof that the infamous plaques are more or less possibly not the first reason for developing Alzheimer's. Some scientists discuss the role of inflammatory processes and found evidence that patients who regularly take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Diclofenac are less likely to develop Alzheimer's. This is still controversial (see here, for example: http://www.healthandage.com/NSAIDs-and-Alzheimer-Disease-What-to-Do)

But it would be bad if a healthy diet and exercise would be "rewarded" with a higher risk of Alzheimer's - should Mother Nature be fair this time? If yes, she's a cool bitch. B|
