"les welsch" and "the welsh" is not quite the same..

"les welsch" is a swiss-germans word for a swiss-french; and usually we think of them as lazy, unfriendly and drunk on a steady basis.. they make a lot of (white) wine down there.

so yea, a bit of swiss culture for you!

Sounds a lot like the welsh as well, especially North Wales. They really don't like the english up there and have been known to paint out the english translations of place names on the road signs. They also have a penchant for burning down english owned holiday cottages.
