BIGUN 1,488 #1 February 5, 2012 OK. So I'm going with New England for the win. My decision was very scientific... The Patriots make THE best Super Bowl Ring Bling, Therefore, players are motivated to win said ring. Boobies for the entertainment, Commercials for the advertising talent (was VERY disappointed with last year's commercials)Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. JerryBaumchen 1,468 #12 February 5, 2012 Hi Bigun, Quote So I'm going with New England for the win. I hope, I hope, I hope. The odds boys have been going back & forth all week; and the last that I saw was the NE by 3 points. This one may come down to who has the ball in the last minute or less. GO PATS!!!!!!!!!! CanuckInUSA 0 #18 February 6, 2012 Great finish. We used to call the "Super Bowl" the "Super Bore" as the games in the 1980s and parts of the 1990s were not close. But we have seen some great finishes since 1998 and this one definitely rivals all the other great finishing games. With 4 minutes left in the game I was ready to give the MVP to the entire Patriots offensive line. But you have to give it to Eli Manning. That guy (while not the best QB) is one cool cat under pressure. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
Squeak 17 #19 February 6, 2012 So an 18 year old lady tells me that the half time show Was inappropriate for a woman in her 50s to be performing in the manner she did. CanuckInUSA 0 #21 February 6, 2012 By the way, how were the commercials on US TV? Here in highly censored Canuckistan, the CRTC does not allow us to see the US Super Bowl commercials. Over the years our Super Bowl commercials in Canuckistan have been rather lame. But I did notice that this year our Canuckistan version of the Super Bowl commercials were better than previous years. Most of our commercials were still their usual lame self, but a few did stand out as good ones. My favorite was from my local cable provider "Shaw TV". In fact after a quick search on YouTube, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbzlhUCNpLI As I said most of our Canuckistan commercials were their usual lame self, but I enjoyed this one. (actually words were gross, like watching my grandmother strip)What say you older gentlemen? I was never into Madonna, even when she was young. The tech aspects went well (the lights all worked this year ). The choreography was pretty good, only a couple of slips, trips or blunders (the slackline guy was pretty impressive). She can still sing. Far better than the Black Eyed Peas last year and better than the Who 2 years ago. Madonna didn't have a "wardrobe malfunction", but Cee Lo sorta did. He couldn't get his sparkly robe fully fastened right away. All in all, it wasn't that bad. Somewhere (and it might have even been on here somewhere, but I didn't see it in this thread) somebody said that there would be a bunch of young athletic guys throwing around an old piece of leather... And there would be a football game too. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
