loch1957 0 #1 February 28, 2012 Today is one year of non smoking!!!! I am down 58 pounds and I actually jumped from a perfectly good plane. OK perfectly good part is debatable. I just turned 53 and I am happy healthy and I'm going to go buy me a new toy to celebrate. No not a rig yet, I'll jump my student rig for a while cause I'm not done with weight thing yet.Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. wmw999 2,589 #2 February 28, 2012 Congratulations, and I'm glad you're taking time to enjoy it while it's happening, and not just looking forward to when you're "done." Because, well, no one is ever done, are they? Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

So, how the hell do you pull off both quitting smoking AND losing 58 pounds concurrently? Eat a bowl of cereal and run 5 miles a day? loch1957 0 #7 February 28, 2012 Actually its easy. First lay the smokes down and walk off. Well that parts very hard. Weight is easy part, have friend weighed over 400 and started this and now hes 183 and no longer takes the 24 meds he used to. And he did it in year and half. its called diet but when can eat as much as you want hard call it diet. Anyway its healthy and free. http://www.drmcdougall.com/free.html I feel great, better than I did even in my thirties, not sure if its because im getting lighter or not smoking.Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.
