Spacer material for Helmets

Recommended Posts

I just located a source for rubber spacer material for helmets and cameras. I purchased a rubber fender cover like those used by mechanics, from Harbor Freight. I think I paid about $6 or $8 for it and for my needs, it is huge.

It is slightly sticky to prevent slipping, but does not leave a residue. It conforms to a rounded shape (like a fender) and is sufficiently firm to prevent movement.

I used mouse pad rubber for a while, but it was too expensive and did not conform to shape.
