shah269 0 #1 March 27, 2012 Affordable Eats! This is a thread dedicated to affordable eats. While working in Finland I picked up a lot of things. A now X wife and a few recipes of cheap good eats. My favorite is a kosher dish called Ham Temptation. You will need 1 kitchen 1 stove with oven set to 350F 1 large casserole dish 1 large onion 1 cup milk 2 cups of your favorite graded cheese 2 cans of Spam 4-5 potatoes 6 beers Start by boiling the potatoes (10-15min) While this is happening cut up the onions thin, and grade the spam into thin strips. Place onions and spam along with 1 cup of milk and cheese with ground pepper into a large bowl and mix. Drink 1 beer. Cool potatoes and grate them with the skin on into the mix and again mix thoroughly. Drink 1 beer. Butter the casserole dish, place mixed content in the dish and place the entire thing in a preheated oven for about 30 min. Drink 2 beers Take out of oven serve and enjoy with 2 beers. This will keep in the fridge for a good number of days. If you switch to light Spam and light cheese it's very healthy for you. I have made this and have included other veggies as well and it turned out ok. However nothing amazing since it starts looking odd after a while when you start putting broccoli and other veggies in there.
