BillyVance 35 #1 April 1, 2012 Picked a helluva day to do it too (April Fools). I have a GE Profile Spacemaker XL1800 model. It completely stopped working, which led me to think the internal fuse blew. It happened before on the microwave oven we had before this one. Power supply to the wall outlet checked out okay. I dismounted the oven off the wall and removed the cover, thinking there would be one fuse, but there are two, one above the other on the circuit board. I do not know if both of them blew or just one, or which one did. Oh well... will be making a trip to the local appliance service store tomorrow morning. It's going to be a bitch getting that thing back up on the wall. wmw999 2,589 #3 April 1, 2012 I had the same thing happen with a previous model. In my case, I actually called an appliance repairman first, and for $40 he replaced the board that he was quite sure was bad. It was. That was 20 years ago, and I'm still using the same microwave. That was some of the best money I ever invested -- installing them on teh wall is a major pain in the butt (done that one too, with a small one). If you know a good appliance repairman who's also reasonable, it might be worth giving him or her a call.
