Monday after Easter a holiday?

Recommended Posts

I have never heard of a company giving the Monday after Easter off? Anyone else ever see this?

I wonder how many other holidays the company in question gets!>?!?!

Of course it is;) ...... Both Friday (Good Friday) and Easter Monday are holidays in the U.K - all part of Easter

Ah ok, nice!!!

Was curious, first time I had seen both days. It is not my company, it is one that I work with regarding some hardware. They are not a US based company, so that is probably why.

I'm working today (and was on Friday) because I'm working for an American company (I had my 2 days off in lieu, a couple of weeks back, to go skiing).... But I just got off a call with them and they were surprised that both days are holidays.

Yea, some companies give Good Friday here, but not all. The Monday threw me.

Always interesting to learn something else new! :)

Won't your friends be surprised when you're not working on the Fourth of July this summer. B|

So how do the English react when one of their own takes the day off to celebrate the revolt of the colonies?:|

Yep. Friday and Monday were a holiday for me. Not every company gives the Monday off but the UofA gives EVERY holiday off! And if they fall on a weekend, you get the following Monday off instead.

Good Friday and Passover. Passover being from the old testament, where if you put lamb's blood on your front door, then God would "pass-over" your house, and NOT kill your first-born son. Everyone else's household was reduced by one unit. Nice God, eh?
