wmw999 2,565 #2 April 17, 2012 I find that anthropomorphizing is the most satisfying short-term solution "the machine hates me." It's generally less expensive than throwing it against the wall. Other than that, I got nuttin' Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. theonlyski 8 #3 April 17, 2012 Make an apt and take it to the apple store, they'll give you a new one. Wonder why it died so soon... tigra 0 #6 April 17, 2012 Is it totally dead? Is there some app still on, a light in the background and it just won't respond to anything? If so, the simple solution is to let the battery totally die then try charging it again. That's happened on my iPods and my iPhone before- kept trying to charge them and that only made it worse. hookitt 1 #7 April 17, 2012 Try holding the home button and the power button down at the same time for many seconds. If it's not dead, it will eventually force a reboot or give you the slider that will say reboot ( or similar wording). Try that before taking it to apple. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Not mentioned in the instructions that came with the phone. I wonder why it needed a reboot when only 3 days old???? That's worse than Windows.... milk2go 0 #9 April 17, 2012 Smartphones are computers...they'll always need reboots occasionally. If it does it constantly, there could be a proper issue that needs looking at but if it's once in a blue moon then consider it the cost of using a complex piece of equipment. theonlyski 8 #14 April 18, 2012 QuoteThanks - that worked. Not mentioned in the instructions that came with the phone. It's not mentioned in the instructions because it's a 'hard reset'. Not something you should do a lot.
