1969912 0 #1 April 25, 2012 I've had this happen maybe a couple times in the past year. The sites are not sketchy or porn related. It happened a few minutes ago when I went to http://www.liquidtransformations.com, which is a custom painting shop in Spokane. A ton of other people on the forum where I found the site visited it with no problems. It's not a bad/fake hyperlink. It loads all the front page text, images, etc., then I get a BSOD with the following message (paraphrased): Stop [a series of what look like memory addresses] Bad_Pool_Caller Beginning dump of physical memory Dump complete. Contact your sysadmin..... Any ideas? Using FF, Win2k. AggieDave 6 #2 April 25, 2012 Wow, that site is so bad it should crash the server and burn the provider down! Try reinstalling Flash and try again.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Did it load OK for you? I do not have the latest Flash because their installer hasn't worked with Win2k for the last 9 months or so. I'm dual booting XP but haven't moved everyting over yet. 1969912 0 #7 April 25, 2012 QuoteWin2k.... Your problem is obvious. That might be it! I just booted to XP and the site worked fine on FF. Guess I'd better get to work and migrate everyting over to my newest obsolete OS. sfzombie 3 #15 April 25, 2012 we had a series of computers with the bad pool header message at work and have a fix for it, but it is for xp. if you want to try to use it, let me know and i can email it to you, but it's not tested on win2k. you really should move very far away from win2k or you will continue to experience problems as ms has stopped releasing security patches for a while now. xp will be good until 2014, but has serious ram limitations, won't support anything over 3gb. send a pm if you want to try the fix, it takes about a second to run and requires a reboot.http://kitswv.com
1969912 0 #16 April 25, 2012 Thanks for the offer, but I'll just start using XP. If it ever happens on XP, I'll send a PM. The bad pool caller crash on 2k only happens on a couple out of hundreds of sites I visit. Be interesting to know what causes it though. Thanks. AggieDave 6 #20 April 26, 2012 Quote Ping me when you can post from that relic. There was a 300baud acoustic coupler available for the Osborne back right after it was released. Although for some reason my dad has kept the two he had, he never had a modem for them. I think I still have a 28.8 PCMICA card for an old laptop laying around...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I might consider buying the latest Windows when I get a new computer. Going back to ~1999 using Win98 and then 2k starting in 2006, I've been infected by a bug once, and that was about a year ago. Took about 30 seconds for Malwarebytes to find and remove it. I am pretty careful where I go and don't click on just anything.
