Amazon 7 #1 May 3, 2012 RIP to yet another of those of The Greatest Generation http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47255778?ocid=ansmsnbc11 QuoteGeorge Vujnovich, the intelligence agent who organized a World War II mission to rescue more than 500 U.S. bomber crew members shot down over Nazi-occupied Serbia, has died at his home in New York. He was 96. Vujnovich is credited with leading the so-called Halyard Mission in what was then Yugoslavia. It was the largest air rescue of Americans behind enemy lines in any war. In the 1970's the USAF SERE school was still teaching the lessons learned from those events. I wonder if they will ever make a movie from the 2007 book. quade 4 #2 May 3, 2012 The single biggest determining factor is the screenwriting skills of whoever currently owns the option. It could be a fantastic story, but if whoever has the option can't make it into a "Hollywood" script, it will never stand a chance. Even if they can make a great script, if they can't sell it properly, it still doesn't stand a chance. There are a million reasons why some great books never get made into films. It's a tough business.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
