JohnMitchell 16 #3 May 30, 2012 Quote Sucks. I just thought I would share with crowd. I did the right side 2.5 years ago. I did the left side 6 months ago. Where are you at in the time line? From my personal experience, you can be jumping in months if you do all the PT. If you really work hard, in a year you'll be 100%. PM me if you want to commiserate. wildcard451 0 #4 May 30, 2012 I am currently 24 hours out from the operation. The nerve block has just worn off.. Pain control is okay but not the best right now. I will be addressing that at the appointment in 90 minutes going into we were suspecting a partial tear of 2 tendons, and and a significant amount of ac joint arthritis. Apparently it was a little worse than we thought and I had to have some tendon shortening as well. It is going to be a boring summer.

I am trying to make it thru the summer before getting my right shoulder rebuilt. It has not healed and it keeps getting reinjured by such stressfull activities as lifting a Laptop bag the wrong way. eeneR 3 #6 May 30, 2012 Hang in there buddy, as you already know keep up with the pain meds. The first 2 days post surgery were not too bad...after that it was like I got hit by a friggen bus. I got behind the ball on pain meds and it bit me in the ass. Second, PT is going to suck, do it, get that shoulder back to full range and then full strength. You need to bitch, have a question or find yourself fully bored you know where you can find me. I lost my right arm in the mess, 2 weeks very little use, it was a good month and a half before I could actually use my arm for anything useful. Took awhile to get range fully back, but it is there and stronger then ever! (surgery was 2005, there is a thread on here somewhere). Stupidest thing I did...dropped something and tried to ninja grab it out of the air with my right arm, just barely out of the sling!!! OOOUCCCCCH that hurt like a motherfucker. I did grab it though...cried for 10 min after however. She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
