Small world skydiving story

My son, Nick, is studying abroad in China right now with a group of students from FSU. He told me that he was talking to one of the girls about things they have done, and she mentioned that she's done a tandem.

He asked where, and she said Z-hills. He asked who her tandem instructor was and she said, "mmmm...Mike or something like that." He asked her to describe him and she replied that he has a fire tattoo on his arm. Nick started laughing and told her that his name is Mark and he's his mom's boyfriend! She was quite surprised and then showed Nick that her laptop desktop image is a photo from her jump, and sure enough, there was Normiss. Small world, huh?

Also made me wonder how many of you tandem instructors are in people's desktop photos and you don't even know it!

That's a great story!
I remember when my wife (who I wasn't even dating at the time) came out to do a tandem at my DZ. I went along with the tandem and docked on her in freefall for the pictures. She took the film to a film shop and had them developed. 10 years later and 7 years after we got married, we went for a stroll in that area. Passing by the photo shop, we noticed her tandem picture sitting on a shelf in the display window.
