Amelia Earhart: New evidence tells of her last days on a Pacific atoll

So are the dozen or so stories of DB Cooper, but until there is proof there's no reason to believe any of them are real.

This latest story from TIGHAR is just one in a long series of stories by them. If they show me the ID plate from the plane, then I'll believe their story. Until then, they're just another bunch of guys on really nice fishing expedition.

I wish them all luck in the search.

I've always believed that they landed on an island somewhere and could never understand how a search back then could not have located any and every island within a reasonable distance of their planned route.

I guess it was a matter of available resources and time.
My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.

I wonder if anyone from TIGHAR was one of the acidheads from MK ULTRA too:ph34r:

At least this explains why Amelia hasn't been returning my phone calls. I always thought she ran off somewhere with that "Fred" guy.
Speculative question: would the plane have had a life raft on board, and would they have tried to use it to get to a bigger island if they weren't rescued after a few days?
You don't have to outrun the bear.

I guess it's just me being lascivious...some reports indicate Amelia could be wild. I wonder what Fred and Amelia were doing on that island while waiting for rescue?
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

All fantasizing aside, it was no Gilligan's Island. Their lives must have been ones of terrible desperation under a blazing hot sun with little or no fresh water. I'd sure hate to die like that.

Uh . . . I'd don't know what books you've been reading, but by most accounts she was the opposite of "wild" when it came to men. As to her feelings about women, that's mostly speculation, but widely speculated.

The letter she wrote Putnam before they got married speaks volumes. It was mostly a marriage of convenience.
