BillyVance 35 #1 August 10, 2012 And it pretty much starts in Jerry's World when the defending national champions, the Alabama Crimson Tide takes on the Michigan Wolverines in Dallas, Texas in a top 10 match-up. Oh by the way... Tyrann Mathieu, A.K.A. The Honey Badger, has just been kicked off the LSU Tigers team. Permanently! Damn... And I was looking forward to seeing him get embarrassed some more this November by AJ McCarron and his stable of WRs. AggieDave 6 #3 August 10, 2012 I'm excited about being in the SEC, but I don't have high hopes for Sumlin and the Aggies for the next couple of years. It'll still be a fun year, I'm going to try to get to College Station for a couple of games. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." PLFKING 4 #4 August 11, 2012 You know, there's a reason Saban fled the Big Ten. Go BLUE !! Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."
BillyVance 35 #5 August 11, 2012 Quote You know, there's a reason Saban fled the Big Ten. Go BLUE !! Don Yeah, coaching in the SEC was more of a challenge. He didn't have great numbers at Michigan State but did have a 9-2 record his last year there, and held his own against the rivals, even beat #1 Ohio State on the road. ETA: Seriously, all I want Alabama to do is decisively beat Michigan and make Big 10 commissioner Jim Delaney's blood boil. You remember he dissed Alabama and the SEC in general not too long ago. And besides, anybody up there still remember Alabama's 49-7 demolition of Big 10 co-champion Michigan State in the bowl game in the 2010 season?"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

PLFKING 4 #7 August 11, 2012 Quote Yeah, coaching in the SEC was more of a challenge. Yeah.....he saw it as a overall weaker conference he could possibly win in. Well, Big Blue isn't afraid of Saban, and they've beaten the tide (please note the non-capitalization) the last two times they've played. Historically the games have been close.....I'd like to see another. It's gonna be electric at kick-off. Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all." BillyVance 35 #9 September 2, 2012 Wow. What a statement made by Alabama. How about THAT game against Michigan! It was a 27 point ass-whupping to the tune of 41-14. True freshman RB T.J. Yeldon had a great game, running 11 times for 111 yards and a TD, and even had a 40 yard run during the game. Overall, I'd give Alabama a B grade. The secondary is young and inexperienced, as expected. They got burned on Denard Robinson's 71 and 40 yard pass plays, but overall I think they did all right. But give credit to the defensive line and linebackers for continually getting in Robinson's face and not letting him have time to throw. Bama's lines on both sides pretty much dominated the Wolverines. Looking forward to seeing the players improve as the season goes on.
