iluvtofly 0 #2 October 5, 2012 One time back when I was an EMT/Dispatcher we were going to do night jumps at my DZ. Before I left work that afternoon I called the 911 center and let them know what we were going to be doing, and that with the chem lights taped to our arm/legs, and the flashlights on our helmets, they would probably be getting a lot of UFO calls. We ended up doing 4 porter loads of night jumps. Next morning I got to work and there was a message for me to call the supervisor of the 911 center. I was informed that there were 147 UFO sightings that night. All the dispatchers tried to explain to the people that it was just "dumb ass skydivers" but no one would believe them. Apparently several people got pissed that they wouldn't send the cops out to investigate.

Apparently, the startling coincidence of a skydiving pyrotechnics show happening in exactly the same place, date and time as the landing of an alien spaceship is easier to swallow. Yeah. The exact same thing as the response to the night CRW in Florida back in February. "It can't be skydivers. It has to be a space ship. PhreeZone 20 #4 October 5, 2012 Quite a few of my friends were on that jump. They have been testing new pryo that is twice as bright as the older ones they were using as well as some new pyro devices for use at very low levels this summer. Last I heard the new pryo was increasing the air temperature in freefall by around 20 degrees when they were in a 4 way star. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

obelixtim 150 #6 October 5, 2012 Happens every time there are night jumps, there is at least one call to the cops about it. When I was a kid, at night we would gallop our horses along the beach at night, with a torch on a length of rope swinging it around in circles. That usually generated a few "sightings".My computer beat me at chess, It was no match for me at kickboxing....
