Abedy 0 #2 November 3, 2012 First thought: How sick. Second thought: Well, death belongs to life. You know. And life has so many facets... Will forward the link to a colleague of mine who teaches ethics to students at a medical vocational college. Should be a good starter for a discussion. BTW: The Parachute Girls Calender 2013 (clicky for a UTube "making of" video with some nice scenes ) was also made by a company the project manager of which is a Polish lady. Seems they are quite liberal, huh huh. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
JohnMitchell 16 #3 November 3, 2012 I first I thought they were just pinup pics, certainly something I like. Closer examination showed themes, conflicts, nightmares and philosophies on parade. Very interesting work. I thought Eve (with the snake and apple) had outrageously plump lips, but on second thought, naw, they're just amazing.

Abedy 0 #5 November 3, 2012 AFAIK the girls are actual jumpers. The pics were shot in Germany. Their plane's tail number is D-FREE, hence the name of the calendar. The calendar is available in the US (via PD), too: Have a look here for more details at http://www.pullout.de/parachute_girls.html And yes, they are cute P.S.: I wonder if there's a calendar featuring nekkid boys available for skydiving girls? That reminds me of something I saw last night; Search this page for "Avedon", and start reading with that paragraph:http://www.wbur.org/npr/164171555/animal-stage-trainer-makes-stars-out-of-pound-pups "There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. Abedy 0 #7 November 3, 2012 Interesting thoughts. January, for example, can be seen as a reference to: We are star dust. I do not mean this in a lyrical or religious way; astrophysics tell us we really are made of star dust. But this sounds rather dry, the pic shows it in an artful way.The sky is not the limit.
