The first time I saw one was at an airshow here in the USA.. I thought it was a really cool looking aircraft compared to what we were using for a bomber at the time.

That said, though every time I saw one after that the aerial display they usually put on certainly could be one of the reasons for none of them being airworthy any longer... those birds were amazing.

I ran across the YouTubes of her restoration and return to flight awhile back and found it iteresting.

I'm sure part of the "kookieness" of British design when it comes to aircraft is part of why she's so hard to keep flightworthy.

U only make 2 jumps: the first one for some weird reason and the last one that you lived through. The rest are just filler.

It's sad. My Dad used to build these aircraft and where I grew up in Lincolnshire we saw them all the time...
