JohnMitchell 16 #3 December 9, 2012 Think they'll start him next year?Gotta say I might have to start watching some A&M games. I heard he's so good the whole state of Texas has stopped telling Aggie jokes.

Next year is going to be harder since the opposing teams will know what to expect, but I'll say that our first year in the SEC with a fish QB and I didn't expect to win 5. After Notre Dame gets slaughtered by Alabama, the champs will have to live with the fact that they were beat at home by a freshman QB.Whats very exciting is how the SEC move and Johnny Football's performance combined with a great year has really boosted recruiting. Some of the top recruits from the classes of '13 and '14 are signed to A&M. I just like the fact that this kid is from Kerrville and thats where my grandmother lived for many of my young years. I have fond memories of that place. Yeah, Bama did lose to Texas A&M, because our offensive coordinator chose to try to throw 4 straight times to the end zone from first and goal at the 6, instead of going to our strength, running it in behind our own 300 lb nose tackle moonlighting as a fullback. To this day, I don't know why we didn't. McCarron got as close to the 2 yard line on a scramble, and threw a pick at the goal line. I'm sure if they'd ran it instead of trying to pass, they could have at least taken the lead with what, 2 minutes left? The rest of the game after that point would have been interesting. But hey, I'm not complaining. The loss forced them to refocus, then they got a little luck from Stanford and Baylor, a win over Georgia and they're back in the BCS title game. But boy, those turnovers in the A&M game killed us."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
BillyVance 35 #8 December 10, 2012 Apparently I had already stated the above in the other thread. Johnny Manziel had a phenomenal season and hat's off to him. Bama will just have to repay the favor next year in College Station!
