FreeFallFiend 0 #1 December 13, 2012 I was hoping someone could recommend a search method for me. I am trying to get some info on an aircraft that landed with it's gear up. Unfortunately all I know is the pilot name and the state it occurred in. I know that doesnt seem like a lot...but it's South Dakota...so I wouldnt imagine there would be that many. Every search method I have tried requires a lot more info and no variation of google search strings in turning up anything.Fiend I am about to take my last voyage, a great leap in the dark. - Thomas Hobbes. FreeFallFiend 0 #3 December 13, 2012 Thanks, that's what I have been using but unable to turn anything up. I think its quite possible I have the wrong state, which really only leaves me with the pilots name and incident description. Oh well.Fiend I am about to take my last voyage, a great leap in the dark. - Thomas Hobbes.
CSpenceFLY 1 #4 December 13, 2012 Depending on the type aircraft it may have never been reported. I forget the terms but if there was no major airframe damage I don't think it has to be reported. There are several aircraft that if the gear and flaps are up the only thing that will touch the ground is the skids on the belly.
