kallend 2,150 #1 December 16, 2012 The previous latest date for the first measurable snow of the season is Dec 16 in 1965. No snow so far this season, and today we have (and will have) no snow. Also set the Chicago record for the greatest number of consecutive days without snow.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

You know, I just realized I haven't seen a Ground Delay for ORD for bad weather yet this season. It's usually a daily to weekly occurrence this time of year. Enjoy it while you can. I'm sure it can't last all winter.

Yeah, I was working that day. Sorry I don't recall the ORD delays that day. But it's been a quiet season overall this year, except for a hurricane or two. One day I was talking to a buddy, grousing about all the recent movies lacking in any original plot ideas. His face lit up: "You should see Groundhog Day". It had been released several years prior, but I'd never heard of it. So I rented it. I knew a former co-worker who (back in the VHS days) bought a copy of "The Princess Bride" for her young son. He loved the movie...so much that he kept wearing out the tapes, and needing replacements."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. CanuckInUSA 0 #10 December 16, 2012 If you miss the white stuff I can send you some. I have had snow in my yard since the 2nd week of October and I likely will have snow well into May, possibly even June (only time will tell on that one). It snowed all day long and into the evening, but it only stuck for about a half hour in the afternoon. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB
