Last one I saw was Hal=Bopp and that was 15 years ago (damn. 15 years! Time flies! I'm old!)

To be able to share this with my kids, though. Last year they saw the annular eclipse and the transit of Venus. A comet, though. This is awesome!

I love this stuff. I remember waking up my 4-year old at 3 am for one of the meteor showers and having to bundle him up warm and drive to the 4-lane north of Clovis to get above the fog..

Had to let him know early that dad is gonna drag him out to see stuff like this.
