The only porn actress that I can remember the name of is Jenna Jameson, because she was seeing UFC fighter Tito Ortiz for a while. And yes, I have seen some of her work. Anyway, back to football... Bama lands 6 players on the AP All American 3-deep teams, including FOUR on the first team! http://collegefootball.ap.org/article/2012-ap-all-america-team-list And you wonder why Alabama is a 9.5 to 10 point favorite. BillyVance 35 #11 December 12, 2012 Quote I was going to post something about football but this is clearly not a football thread anyway - AL by 2 TD's and ND finds out what big boy SEC football is all about eh, don't get sidetracked by the porn bullshit. But I like your way of thinking. Back in the 70's and through the 1980 season, Notre Dame's players were HUGE compared to Alabama's. That's not the case anymore. This time it's Alabama's players that are huge, fast and strong. Their outside linebackers are basically the size and power of defensive ends, but with speed. Notre Dame's offense reminds me a bit of LSU's last year. Not at all that impressive at about 26 points a game. Their offense has pretty much had to play full games due to all the close wins they had against mediocre competition (Pitt, BYU, etc). The Irish defense may just be every bit as good as advertised, especially their front 7, BUT.... Bama's offensive line is widely regarded as the best in the country, and they showed Georgia what they could do in the run game with a SEC Title game record 350 yards. Then you have deep threats at WR with Amari Cooper and Kevin Norwood who can score from anywhere, most effectively from 30-50 yards out. A.J. McCarron will be the best QB the Irish face all season. So, you know, something's got to give. The Irish's weakness is the defensive back corps, so look for Alabama to throw quite a bit early on. Then let the run game take over late and wear those Irish asses out. That's what I'd like to see. I want Bama beating the fucking luck out of the Irish! BillyVance 35 #13 December 12, 2012 Here's a fun little game, if you're an Alabama fan, or if you hate Notre Dame. Go here: http://www.whatifsports.com/beyondtheboxscore/default.asp?article=2012CFB_BowlPreview Go down to the bottom where the Alabama vs Notre Dame match-up is. You can simulate the game however you want, roster changes, temps/weather, game plan, etc. Just hit the Simulate button. Then change some settings, and play again. I've gone through 10 different scenarios, and Alabama comes out on top EVERY TIME, scoring anywhere from 23-52 points and Notre Dame from 0-14 points. Interesting.... Maybe Whatifsports.com is biased toward Alabama, but it was fun. Additionally, you can find your favorite team and run its bowl simulation to your heart's content. BillyVance 35 #15 December 12, 2012 QuoteI never thought I'd be rooting for Notre Dame because they are the underdog... IIRC, LSU was the underdog in the last BCS title game too, but not by much. They got hammered 21-0. BillyVance 35 #16 December 19, 2012 Thanks a lot Jimmy Clausen. You have pretty much effectively doomed your alma mater to an ass whupping by tweeting a picture of a BCS title game t-shirt with "Catholics vs Cousins" on it. Thanks for the bulletin board material. The Tide will put it to good use in Miami. Only wish YOU were the QB. Having fun being the back up QB to an SEC QB at Carolina, eh? Sucker. Anybody remember the "I'd rather shower at Penn State..." shirts that LSU came out with last year? Yeah, how'd that work out? A 21-0 corn-dog whupping. Roll Damn Tide. This one is my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUoi8r32CE8 Steve Beuerlein was knocked out cold and suffered a concussion. Cornelius Bennett played I think 17 or 18 seasons in the NFL and is one of the all time greatest LBs in college football history.
