peek 21 #1 January 14, 2013 I have had several people now tell me that they have sent me text messages and have not heard back from me, but my cell phone number is known only to a few people, so these messages were surely sent to one of my land lines. Aren't error messages generated for this? What if the person sent the same message to a bunch of cell phone numbers and one land line at the same time? Would they still see an error message? I tried sending a text message from my cell phone to my land line and it indeed sent back an error message.
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #2 January 14, 2013 I had a friend accidentaly put my land line in a "group text" list. I was getting messages on my machine that were "text to voice" messages. It was a little weird, and it took me a few days to figure out what was going on. Sprint, IIRC."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." babz 0 #3 January 14, 2013 Really depends how they set up their handsets and how your land line / their cell provider set up their network. Unless they have delivery reciepts enabled on their handset then chances are they wont get any error (this by standard has been disabled on on all handsets I've had - and is dependant on their cell provider)
