JohnMitchell 16 #2 March 20, 2013 That's the best use of a 65 year old law ever. I hate Ticketmasters.

oldwomanc6 60 #6 March 20, 2013 Being a MD resident, I find that awesome! Reasonable fees are one thing, but not fees that cost as much or more than the ticket price. Like John, I avoid buying through 2nd parties, and try to deal with the venue directly. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

Their actual value-add is probably a dollar or two. Everything above that is pure highway robbery. Don't even get me started on credit card company processing fees and what the telco charges for text messages...I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
JerryBaumchen 1,468 #8 March 20, 2013 Hi ryoder, The last that I knew Ticketmaster was owned by Paul Allen, co-founder of MicroSoft. He also owns the Portland TrailBlazers and the Seattle SeaHawks; along with a bunch of other companies. To the best of my knowledge, they are all managed by his Vulcan Company which is ran by his sister. A good number of the companies that he has bought over the years have gone under. May be a whiz at code, but not much at management. JerryBaumchen PS) And he is a total nerd.

regulator 0 #10 March 20, 2013 Paul Allen also has a massive yacht. The Octopus. https://www.google.com/search?q=paul+allen+octopus&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=OtdJUei2OoTS2QWR44DICg&sqi=2&ved=0CDYQsAQ&biw=1024&bih=706 If your yacht is large enough to house two tugboats inside...yeah you've got crazy money to throw around.
