FlyingRhenquest 1 #1 April 14, 2013 Weather didn't look too good today so I ran around running errands. One of them was to take the empty pony keg back to Left Hand. I saw they had $14 growlers of their Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout and had to buy one. I forgot how much kick that stuff has. It's something like 13% ABV. One glass and I just kind of staggered back to the room and passed out on my bed. Woke up a couple hours later with the room spinning. On the plus side, the migrane I'd had all day was gone. And I'd kicked off some chili before I got rolling, so that was just about done. So all in all a pretty good day. Looks like the weather's going to be equally bad next weekend. Maybe I should get a couple more growlers of Wake Up Dead and have some friends over for a Wake Up Dead and My Little Pony film festival. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Maybe you should invite Kimberly Gibbs over for some beer and chili... lord knows that woman needs to get out more.

Regular beer is bound to be too noisy from the bubbles. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB
FlyingRhenquest 1 #4 April 14, 2013 Probably not a good idea, my house is right on the flight path. And I think the road noise would probably drive her crazy. Plus the wake up dead could get us drunk enough for nastiness to ensue, and even though I think she probably really just needs to get her ticket punched, I don't want to be the one to take that one for the team!I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. FlyingRhenquest 1 #7 April 14, 2013 It's hard to find outside the brewery. If you like dark beer, you'll probably like it, though. It kind of reminds me a bit of Old Crustacean. Of all the beer I've tried, I think that's what it's closest to. Old Crustacean is a barley wine, so it's still darker and more flavorful, but it's also a lot harder to find.I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind.
