Got some meetings set up, just interested in what others involved experience as far as gear, training etc. This is a local mountain area so I figure area knowledge, physical ability..I have lived and worked here (EMT 911 ambulance) for just over 6 years so not a stranger to hiking in heat and snow to package and extricate pts sometimes using helicopters sometimes carrying on a backboard or stokes. Im aware its a volunteer service and looking for some experienced insight as far as self supplied gear/training etc. Like I said I will be meeting with these guys soon, just kinda poking around here.....
