Without a doubt, the funniest prank ever pulled on a unsuspecting, or rather, dumb ass TV news station.

Yes, I laughed til I cried, despite the fact that 3 poor girls died. Guess I'm going to hell with all my friends. ;)

Absence of malice...it's a frivolous move to divert attention from the whole burning aircraft on the runway thing.

But who knows maybe the TV station will settle the matter providing much need funds for pilot training!

They could agree to a trade - Professional flight training for one, journalistic professionalism for the other?

One day the 'need to be first' to release names on events without checking will get someone killed. And on that day I hope every journalist and media group in the business gets nailed to the wall.

>Because it was that report, and obviously not crashing a passenger airliner into the
>edge of the ocean that damaged their reputation.

Their lawyer, Yu No Soo, will make it clear that all the damage to their reputation came from the malicious NTSB. He's been working on it for some time.

Something to consider:

The TV station asked the NTSB for *confirmation* of the names, and an NTSB intern confirmed them.

What we still don't know is where the TV station got the names.
