JohnMitchell 16 #2 September 11, 2013 Don't we all remember exactly where we were when we heard about it. In the passing years I think our men and women in the military have done an amazing job of keeping the bad guys off balance and on the run. How efficiently we've done this is probably a topic for another forum.

I went in to wake them up and show them the news, just after I got their TV turned on, the second plane hit.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
LuckyMcSwervy 0 #4 September 11, 2013 I'll never forget the smell of smoke that came down the beach that day... Always be kinder than you feel.
mrubin 0 #5 September 11, 2013 JohnMitchell Don't we all remember exactly where we were when we heard about it. It was my freshman year in high school. I came downstairs and turned on the tv moments before the second plane hit. Then in my geometry class, we watched the news and saw the towers collapse. billvon 3,116 #7 September 11, 2013 I remember being within 20 minutes of getting on AA flight 11. Didn't hear about it until my girlfriend called me and asked "are you all right?"
theplummeter 15 #8 September 11, 2013 I was sitting on a runway with a trauma patient waiting for a takeoff clearance so I could fly from Wyoming to Salt Lake City. The controller had us holding for quite a while so we asked if a VFR departure would speed the process. He finally told us to taxi back to the ramp and added that we should go inside and turn on a TV. We watched the second plane hit in the FBO in Casper, then rented a car and drove home. JohnnyMarko 1 #9 September 12, 2013 I was only 11, didn't even know what the World Trade Center was. I still remember my teacher turning on the news, watching a skyscraper collapse then they shut it off. Watched as a classmate of mine was pulled out of class to have his parents tell him that he lost his brother collapse of the South Tower. Crazy looking back 12 years now how we all remember every detail of that day, realizing how it affected us personally, as a nation, and as a world.
