***How did you update your phone? OTA? Plugged into the computer?

Simple way to test it, back up the phone (not sync, back it up) to the computer and restore it in iTunes (then restore your backup).

Sometimes on updates something gets corrupt and you end up with a crappy experience. This was especially the case with OTA updates.

Not sure if there is an issue with "over the air" upgrades on the iPhone 4, but I upgraded an iPhone 4 last night by plugging it into iTunes and it went just fine. You won't get a number of new features only supported by newer phones, but iOS 7 does install on it.

I've never had a problem with iOS, but I always do it via iTunes while plugged in.

It's not the install that's the problem it's that the major new versions always make the phone laggy and sluggish compared to the previous version unless you're on the absolute latest handset. One or two generations back and the new IOS turns it into a laggy turd.

I'm not really seeing a compelling reason to replace my 3GS and 4 at this point. If I wanted to blow money on something I'd just go schedule more tunnel-time. B|

The only problem I have is that "The Economist" issued a new app, I installed it, and the stupid new app does nothing but give me a black screen.>:(

All the other Newsstand apps are fine.

Weird.
This starting working later, w/o an app upgrade.
The problem must have been on the server end.

AFAIK, you can't upgrade to iOS 7 over the air...

If you updated to iOS 7 over Wifi, then you did an OTA (over the air) update.

Back up your phone, restore it on your computer thru iTunes and restore your backup. That'll probably clear up your issues.

FYI, there's an option (I think it may be disabled by default) to automatically download app updates in the background. While this probably wasn't fixed that way, it's still out there.

I feel my iPhone 4 is a lot slower now and I totally regret the upgrade. I read that it's best to just do the upgrade for the 5, and I agree.

One thing I really don't like is the white background, like on the timer. I can't see the darn numbers now when I don't have my glasses on! >:(

Have you asked Siri about gestures?:)

Call me a sucker for Apple, but I'm a few months overdue for an upgrade and going to get the iPhone 5S...I've had the 4 for a while now, love the iPhone and Apple, but it's time for an upgrade and the slow performance on my iPhone 4 is giving me reason enough to drop the $125 for the latest 32GB iPhone 5S....not the gold one though :P
