fpritchett64 0 #1 September 30, 2013 I've been seeing one fly over throughout the day for the last couple of days over Lake Norman in NC. It's been amazing to see. Someone told me it's taking off from Concord and you can get a flight in it for around $450.00/person. From what I read, the flight only lasts about 30 minutes but during that time you have the opportunity to get up and visit all of the different stations and views. I wonder if they could be talked into allowing a jump..
FlyingRhenquest 1 #2 September 30, 2013 You plus a video person, 1 grand (I'm assuming the video person doesn't work for free.) Video of you jumping out of a flying fortress, priceless!I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? mr2mk1g 10 #5 September 30, 2013 $450 you say? What if I only want a 1-way ticket to 3,000ft rather than a return?
hillson 0 #6 September 30, 2013 mr2mk1g$450 you say? What if I only want a 1-way ticket to 3,000ft rather than a return? That was the going rate when one of them was around my neck of the woods last year. As fun as it would have been...I can buy 20 tickets for that amount and have 20 times the fun. JohnMitchell 16 #7 September 30, 2013 We've got a number of jumpers in the NW that jumped out of the bomb bay when a B-17 was making the rounds up here. Lots of video, lots of smiles. One friend didn't get to jump because the bomb bay doors wouldn't open. He had to land with the plane so they gave him a full refund. Is it the Collins Foundation flying those around? Anyway, give 'em a call and ask. I keep debating. $450 is a lot of dough but why not?
