Nataly 38 #1 October 29, 2013 I was reading an article about this guy who was at a crossroads in his relationship and he was feeling pressure to "do something"... Like simply being content with someone was not good enough - he had to take it to the next level. And if he didn't feel like taking it to the next level by that point, well, it was probably a sign that the relationship wasn't working, so he should cut away. So he flipped a frickin' coin to make up his mind!!!. The coin told him to break up. He did. Worst decision of his life, crawled back to her, proposed, now happily ever after, kids, et cetera. Couldn't be happier. Flipped a coin... You know, that is just probably the LAST thing that would come to my mind in a situation like that... Huh... Note: there is no point to this story... Just that it struck me as a unique thought process."There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." - Chris Hadfield « Sors le martinet et flagelle toi indigne contrôleuse de gestion. » - my boss

tan 0 #12 October 30, 2013 Well, the thing about flipping a coin is not about the outcome of the coin; but at the moment when the coin is in the air, you know what you truly desire.
davjohns 1 #13 October 30, 2013 That's an idea. Have someone else flip the coin. They can keep it covered and just ask you what you want it to be. I'm not sure flipping a coin is so bad. Let's face it...most of us don't do any better than the coin.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Di0 2 #16 October 30, 2013 Nataly So he flipped a frickin' coin to make up his mind!!!. The coin told him to break up. He did. Worst decision of his life, crawled back to her, proposed, now happily ever after, kids, et cetera. Couldn't be happier. Flipped a coin... You know, that is just probably the LAST thing that would come to my mind in a situation like that... And she took him back, after all of that? She should have told him to go propose to his coin. I wonder if they had kids because the coin said so. If you break up for completely irrational reasons, be brave enough to never look back. Do it for your dignity, if anything.I'm standing on the edge With a vision in my head My body screams release me My dreams they must be fed... You're in flight.
