A few more years and the stores will be marketing for Christmas in January.

Next October I want an inflatable Frosty the Snowman with a witch's hat and a black cat, riding a broom. The way the stores are running the holidays together, that should be the perfect decoration.

Only if Frosty is holding a big red sack of presents.

For those of you who live in warmer area, where leaving a bucketful of turkey outside isn't practical, a water cooler (orange Igloo type) works perfectly for brining. Since it's insulated, the ice won't melt and put the turkey into the "danger zone." :)

Now I have a Kenny Loggins song stuck in my head.

That's what I use. If you've never cooked a turkey with a brine and a probe thermometer, you should give it a try. You pretty much just put the turkey in and walk away until the thermometer starts beeping at you. It's no effort at all and you don't have the touch the door to the oven until the turkey's done (No basting or anything.)
I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

There is room in the keggerator fridge for the 2 5 gallon food grade buckets to sit overnight.
WITH the keg of Long Hammer. ;)

I really need to finish my cabinets to make that area of the man cave more workable for cooking, grilling, smoking, and brewing.
