Elisha 1 #1 November 21, 2013 ....if that gets your attention. [/laugh] I was out of town for a long weekend to attend my cousin's wedding. Upon returning, the cat won't curl up and calmly sleep on the bed. Instead, he's being a total dick and I have to shut him out of the room so I can sleep. Just after I've fallen asleep, he decides he wants to screw around, loudly crashing into the blinds (large sliding glass door), purr on volume 10, fuck with other stuff, cause mischief or make noise in other ways. Sure, when I came back he's all glad to see me so I can feed him and change his litter of course. Any other cat owners (or cat staff as NWFlyer likes to say) experience this? I'm thinking that he'll return to "normal" soon - probably just his way of lashing out at me for having the audacity to leave town for a few days. But I'd like to think she calls me "Momma". Did you have anyone stay at your house or come in to spend some time with him over the weekend? I'm just back from 2 weeks away and my girl is cool as hell. Probably because she got lots of attention while I was gone.Always be kinder than you feel. davjohns 1 #12 November 22, 2013 No sympathy here. I woke up this morning with a cat sitting on my chest, staring me down, purring at me. The dog had inserted his muzzle under my hand and kept flipping it onto his head. I prefer the alarm.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Then I sneezed and it was game on. I keep a bag of "good girl treats" (Temptations - Beef) in the nightstand drawer so I don't have to go downstairs before I'm ready. But then she tries to kill me by getting around my feet going down the stairs anyway. Always be kinder than you feel.

It's awfully hard to get out of bed on a cold winter day when you've got a cat on you.I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? Elisha 1 #15 November 23, 2013 JohnnyMarkoStep 1) Replace cat with dog Unfortunately, the dog would 1) end up pooping everywhere since I wouldn't be home in time to walk it and 2) die of loneliness since I'm not at home most of the day. My cat is pretty low maintenance, but even that is pushing the limit for me. He was being a dick again after I fell asleep, then FINALLY settled down. Maybe he's done punishing me.
