kallend 2,148 #1 December 25, 2013 First of all, Merry Christmas. Next: Is there a way to stop extensions "installed by a third party" from being installed in Chrome? Failing that, is there a way to find which "third party" did the installing? I keep getting junky ad extensions installed, presumably by some scummy site. (I hope it's not DZ.COM).... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

kallend 2,148 #3 December 25, 2013 BIGUN http://smallbusiness.chron.com/remove-extensions-google-chrome-28393.html Thanks, but I know how to remove them. What I want is to prevent 3rd parties from installing them without my knowledge in the first place.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. BIGUN 1,483 #4 December 25, 2013 My understanding is that Google is trying to limit thrif-party extensions at this time by allowing only those extensions submitted for review thru the Google Store. I use a free add-in called Ghostery to block a lot of third party apps... https://www.ghostery.com/ As an example; it blocks five trackers from dz.com Hope this helps.. Merry Christmas to you also.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
