Line Sets ?

Could anyone tell me where i can acquire a new line set for a falcon 215 ? and what sort of price should i be looking at ?

Reason being, slider bumpers weren't stitched in place and the grommets (which are now dented) have caused wear on a couple of the lines.

Hey baby!! Are you looking to just buy the lineset and give them to your rigger to install? Or are you looking for a place to actually ship your canopy to and have the new lineset put on, then sent back to you. And on a side note, if the grommets are dented badly, you need them replaced.

just as a frame of reference for cost of lines, Iknow PD charges 125 bucks to reline your canopy and do an inspection of it. (includes cost of lines)

Aye, that's what i was planning.

And the grommets are being replaced too... although i thought about turning the slider over.

I was pm'ed btw and told to fire an e-mail off to Precision, which i will do later.

Reline a Falcon? AFAIK, Falcon is made of F-111 and airfoil wears before the lines do... I think, you should better get rid of the canopy.

Call Precision Aerodynamics for a quote on new lines, a new slider and installation.
I also question the logic of re-lining a canopy made of F-111 fabric.
Usually by the time the first line set is worn out (say 600 jumps), the fabric is pretty tired too.

Canopy is still good, so say's my rigger, it's just a couple of lines that look dodgey.

He said it would be better to change all of them if i can,
as he said he could make them up for me but it would probably cost more than a line set.

Obviously if the cost is too prohibitive i will ditch it and get a ZP of similar pack volume.

one must ponder if it's worth throwing a line set on a tired F111, or throw a couple hundred more in and get a zp canonpy you'll have quite a few hundred more on.
