ryoder 1,590 #4 January 19, 2014 You can try this: http://www.terraserver.com/ There is an "Imagery Date" on the left with a pulldown menu which changes at each resolution. At least you can see exactly when each image was created."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. champu 1 #8 January 19, 2014 If you're looking for area swaths of weather/fire/ocean plumes and stuff like that you can check out the MODIS website (Terra and Aqua together image the entire Earth twice a day at 250m resolution): http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/realtime They also have a gallery where they pick out some specific events here: http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/gallery/
jonstark 8 #9 January 19, 2014 quade What are you trying to accomplish? I've been building a private airstrip for a few years and would like to see the progress. Google Earth had an image of the week I started cutting trees then a year later caught me out working on a broken bulldozer. There is a navigation program with the repaired dozer parked back in the field about a month later. Kinda fun to see. Better resolution would be helpful to map the old stone walls. They are very difficult to see with Google Earth. jon

FlyingRhenquest 1 #13 January 19, 2014 I don't think we sell less than a 250 km chunk and it'll cost you at least 4 digits for that. As far as I know, no satellite provider in the USA can sell a resolution better than 50cm -- one pixel is half a meter. For your application, you may want to see if you can get some aerial imaging company to set you up with the area you're interested in. It'd probably cost less and they can sell higher resolutions.I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
