amstalder 0 #1 April 6, 2014 I'm a little sad (it's such an easy way to keep in touch with people), but a lot relieved. Now, I have more time to hang out over here

oldwomanc6 60 #12 April 6, 2014 I have never "used it". I only got an account when my kids were teens. That way, I could keep tabs on them. That was a decade ago. When your kids are teens, you would do well to make sure they aren't part of any social media that you can't keep track of at that point. Heaven knows what that may be at that point! Just sayin' lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

Heaven knows what that may be at that point! Just sayin' I have discovered there are many other sites that kids are using. Vine.co is one of them. I recently ran across another one... forget which one it is but again a video site. Kids are uploading video directly from their phones and posting it for all their friends to see.... all the while it's like you can hear a parent in the background saying "you're not using Facebook are you honey... and the kid answers truthfully yes mom". Meanwhile they are posting video of the latest outfits they bought at the mall. One I came across was really rather unsettling for a parent because it was clearly underage teens in tiny dresses, itty bitty bikinis and appeared to have a large social following. jimjumper 25 #14 April 6, 2014 I got onto Facebook in 2002 to vote for my wife in a contest. I didn't log on again until 2013. It was just like I left it so I left again. By the way, she won in the voting and got to carry the Olympic Torch during the torch run to Salt Lake so I guess its worth the annoying e-mails. amstalder 0 #15 April 7, 2014 Krip Hello nice lady Welcome back. Never did the facebook thing. We spent some time last fall in Columbia Mo, read up on Ft Lost in the woods and the little town outside the gate How did you like the weather down there. Last year was weird, weather-wise… It was cold until June! We enjoyed our time there. The drive to the DZ sucked, and we definitely noticed some racism in town , but the area didn't suck nearly as much as everyone said. Plus, my husband worked normal hours for six months, which was absolutely awesome .
