alexey 6 #1 October 22, 2004 We have 2 Omegas at our DZ, with standart for Omega 400 m. openings. One of the owner entreat me to speed up openings somehow, because he just cant wait so long to open that damn thing. I was trying to correct it by packing - in any case and any packing - it openings too long I thinking about to make a hope in the center of slider and cover it by netting to reinforce eges. But how big the hole has to be? Has someone any info about - how much hole - how much affected opening? SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 October 22, 2004 IF you have tried all the different packing tricks and nothing is working, then a slider mod or a slightly smaller slider will definitely work. Still, simply packing without rolling the nose at all and not wrapping the tail too tight ought to speed up the openings. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
riggerrob 643 #3 October 22, 2004 Your next step is hot-knifing a 5 inch hole in the middle of the slider. Put a dozen jumps on that configuration, then decide if you want to enlarge the hole to 7 inches. Without any reinforcing, it will last a good 500 jumps.
