headoverheels 334 #4 August 4, 2014 normiss Rental car companies. I think the rental car companies would take cash, but you still have to present a valid CC. Maybe the DZ has had problems with counter help ripping off the cash.
normiss 897 #5 August 4, 2014 You think wrong based on my experience. Going back to the early 80's, I have repeatedly tried to pay with cash. Won't happen.
sundevil777 102 #6 August 4, 2014 Rental cars can't be had with cash or debit cards, per my recent experience.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
Chiquita 14 #7 August 4, 2014 Some do, but I know Enterprise does not. Something about being robbed. The last time I rented from Avis I had to give a credit card to secure the rental but was able to pay cash when I turned the car in. Not sure why a dz would not accept cash."Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
normiss 897 #8 August 5, 2014 Actually I think it's more likely the risk of someone stealing a car for $500. Agreed on the DZ-cash thing though. Cash is always a win-win.

[/quot They are more interested in being able to charge the full cost of repairs to your credit card if you break the rental car
riggerrob 643 #10 August 5, 2014 These days only drug dealers deal in cash any more For example a decade ago I offered a camera store $1,200 in cash. They got all flustered and had to call the manager over and count the. Ash 3 times and put it it in a special drawer (dusty from disuse).
