aphid 0 #1 August 26, 2014 The plan is to spend a bunch more time having fun at Eloy this winter (continued retirement is grand), and I'd like to spend a little more effort getting out on the Harley. I'm quite familiar with the southwest portions of the state (Tombstone - Globe - Phoenix - Yuma) having ridden all through there for quite a few winters. So I'm looking for suggestions for all good rides elsewhere, in particular Rte. 66 and Monument Valley. Speaking of Monument Valley, any suggestions for iconic photo/op locations would be great to hear as well. (I've done Winslow - Holbrook) Thanks in advance. theplummeter 15 #3 August 26, 2014 When I liven in Phoenix we used to do day trips from Mesa-East Valley-Sedona-Prescott and back to Phoenix. Sedona is a great ride with some wonderful scenery, and it only kills a day coming from Eloy.

GD64 1 #7 August 26, 2014 I like that ride north on 87 through Fountain Hills up the Mogollon Rim to Payson. Than to Camp Verde and over to Sedona, or north to Flagstaff and loop back through Oak Creek Canyon (I haven't been since this years fire), through Sedona to Jerome and pick your path back from there. ENJOY
aphid 0 #8 August 26, 2014 Zep I thought you'd been banned from entering the USofA? Was given a waiver last summer so I've visited successfully as couple of times. Ban formally ends this fall anyway.

aphid 0 #10 August 26, 2014 jumpwally What in the world got you banned ? ..never heard of such a thing.. They believed that, irrespective of my investments, assets and ties to Canada, I intended to immigrate and work illegally. It likely didn't help that after a few hours I got a bit "uppity" and stopped behaving like a polite Canadian...Anyway, life is finally back to pseudo-normal, so can we concentrate on suggestions for scenic motorcycling in AZ? PLFKING 4 #11 August 26, 2014 Hard to believe they would ban ANY Canadian, yet let Remi in. Another vote for the Sedona area. When I was at the Holiday Boogie several years back, I took off for a couple of days to go to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, and hit an awful lot of back roads through the region. As pretty as it was in a car, it would've been even better on two wheels. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."
