bdbrown 0 #1 October 3, 2004 I am in need of a new jumpsuit , but price is going to be a big consideration. Just finishing up buying a complete new rig with helmet, neptune, etc. Would like to get something with booties. Have been jumping a good old Dive Rite suit, still in great shape. Just want one with booties that match my new rig more...What is everybody's option on what would be the best choice without breaking the bank, Thanks --------------------------------------------------
Nightingale 0 #2 October 4, 2004 A good jumpsuit is gonna be pricey. Its an investment that will last for many jumps. if money's an issue now, talk to someone who can sew booties on your existing suit. (Pineapple here in southern cali does a great job). If you're worried about color, call the nanufacturer of your suit and find out how well it will dye. If the colors are wacky, dye it black. it'll be a few different shades, but close... then, take brightly colored ribbons that match your rig and sew them over the grippers to make them visible. Nightingale 0 #4 October 4, 2004 I got my bev suit for around $350. I had a lot of options on it, tho. Awesome quality suit.
bdbrown 0 #5 October 4, 2004 Have been eye-balling a tony suit pits special...base price is not bad, just not real sure about all the options and extras.... --------------------------------------------------
Nightingale 0 #6 October 4, 2004 I've had both a tony suit and a bev suit, and preferred the bev suit, but it was personal preference as opposed to anything concrete...the bev suit just felt better.
matthewcline 0 #7 October 4, 2004 I personnally preferthe Michigan suits. They start at around 185 (basic RW) and go up with options. IF 250 isn't to much get the Michigan Comp suit. It is ultra strong and the suit I put on my new jumpers I run an 8 man demo team that trains them from 0 to 800 jumps in lessthan 24 months) and it lasts 2 years and 800+ jumps before needing minor repairs. I have nylon Comp suit from '98 that is in great shape and I still use on the fast falling RW loads. I have purchased 6 michigan suits and like them all. kai2k1 0 #8 October 4, 2004 I bought a Tony Swoop Suit back in August. I have no complaints whatsoever out of them. Hell, They even shipped it to rantoul so I could have it there. My cost including a rush order and a few options was $371.84. I would definetly do business with them in the future. GQ_jumper 4 #9 October 13, 2004 i own the comp RW suit from bodysportusa, and love it. i've tried jumping without it a few times since i've bought it and went running back. great booties, awesome fit, and they are very helpful when i rough it up a little and want to have a few repairs done.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D.
