Yeah, I'm glad it wasn't ME flying through that hail storm. It's bad enough with the pea-sized crap we get on exit from time to time. Every bit of exposed skin ends up with welts on. Last year some poor fucker got out in shorts and a T-Shirt in one of those!I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? Even a light rain hurts like a motherfucker in freefall and causes dime-size red welts all over. Been there, done that. Was the worst timing ever though. It didn't start raining until I was all the way out on the strut of the C-182 in shirt and shorts. Nothing I could do but put my arms and hands in front of my face and neck and wait til pull altitude. And yes I was screaming "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!" That's not all, once I got back in the hangar and stripped my gear off and then my t-shirt, that's when everybody stopped and stared. Yep, dime-sized welts all over.
