Newbie 0 #1 September 27, 2004 It says 10/04 (i.e. October 04). Does this mean i can do it at the end of the month? Can they be changed without the reserve coming out or not? Teardrop SF container. "Skydiving is a door" Happythoughts
FreeFlyFridge 0 #2 September 27, 2004 If it says 10/04 then you have to replace the batteries somewhen in October, but not on a specific date! Yes, the reserve has to be opened to change the batteries, but if the same rigger that packed your reserve the last time opens the reserve you don´t need a repack, he can just break HIS OWN seal, open the reserve container, put new batteries in your cypres and close the container again with a new seal. That is only if you are inbetween your reserve repack circle! Saves you the money of a repack! Otherwise the reserve has to be repacked after the seal was broken from a different rigger.------------------------------------------------------ ROCK ON,.....HARD! Proud European!! darkwing 5 #4 September 27, 2004 Be advised that not every rigger would be willing to replace the batteries and reseal it without a full inspection and repack. The rigger in this case may or may not. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
Tonto 1 #5 September 27, 2004 Or 500 jumps - whichever comes first. My cypres seldom makes it through 2 years with less than 500 jumps. tIt's the year of the Pig.
